Pool Table Lights
The size of pool table will determine the size and number of pool table lights needed. Most lights come in a two or three bulb configuration that provides good even light for most sizes of pool tables. Anything that is larger than 7 feet needs at least three lights and preferably four. The brightness of each bulb and how close it is mounted to the table greatly affect the amount of light.
Many pool table lights are not just regular light fixtures, although they can be used. They are suspended from the ceiling and stop a couple of feet from the table. Many have pool table themes, or are advertisements for beers and alcohols. Some evoke the old world pool halls of Britain, but they all serve the same basic purpose.
Pool table lights come in many price ranges to fit any budget. When brand new they can fetch prices over a thousand dollars on some finely crafted models, but a good light can be found in thrift shops, closed bars and garage sales for a fraction of the cost. For the electrically inclined there are plenty that no longer work but may just need a little wire reconnected or a little bit of dusting off to renew their life.
